Moving In

How exciting! You're going to live with us. 😄 Here's everything you need to know about moving in.

Before takeover

The first thing you need to do is sign your contract that you will get from us on e-mail. You can sign with BankID, SMS, click-signature, and Draw. When you sign your contract, you also accept our Residence regulations.
There are no insurances included in our rental agreement. Therefore, make sure you have the insurances you need before moving in with us 🛋️

Taking over the accommodation – access to your home

Digital keys

We have digital keys for most of our buildings in Bergen. If you are getting a digital key, you will receive an email with information about this around one week before moving in.
Before moving in, you need to:
  1. Download the JustIN Mobile app.
  2. Activate Bluetooth on your phone.
  3. Allow background app refresh for the app.
  4. Open the app when the key is active.
The key is normally added to the app 1–3 days before your contract starts, but it will not work until 15:00 on the day your contract starts. You can go direclty to your studentroom with your digital key.
How to use the digital key:
iPhone: Open the app, tap the key and hold your phone against the reader.
Android: Hold your phone against the reader.

Collecting physical keys

You can collect the keys to your new home on the day your contract starts, or any day after this. Keys can be collected from 12:00 at the earliest on the day your contract starts. In Bergen, you can collect your keys from 15:00.
Remember to bring valid ID when collecting your keys. If someone else is collecting the keys for you, they must bring an authorisation from you. This authorisation must include the name of the person who is allowed to collect the keys.
Here's how you collect your keys:

Removing furniture and hanging up posters

It's understandable that most people want to make the residence their own. You're welcome to do so, but if you want to remove/replace furniture that belongs to the residence, you must store them in a safe place and put them back when you move out.
Avoid making holes in the walls to hang posters and the like; instead, use the picture rails we have installed in our residences 😊

Errors or Deficiencies

Contact us via the Housing portal as soon as possible if you discover any errors or deficiencies in your residence, and we'll take care of it.
