What is Students together in motion?
Students together in motion is a free group training offer for students who are in contact with Sammen mental health service. The training takes place in a group with an instructor twice a week for 14 weeks. The training consists of conditioning and strength exercises in a closed gym. The sessions are individually adapted so that everyone can participate based on their own physical form and prerequisites.
Why physical activity?
Physical activity can promote positive thoughts and feelings, increase confidence in handling challenges, increase self-confidence and psychological well-being, which is strongly linked to perceived quality of life. Organized training together with others can give a sense of mastery and belonging, while at the same time it can provide a distraction from negative thoughts.
