Mailboxes

The mailboxes can be found in the basement at the back entrance of the building

All our tenants at Studentheimen have access to a lockable storage room, where 3-4 rooms/apartments share a storage space. 2-bedroom apartments have their own storage room. These storerooms are labeled with room numbers, and tenants are given their own key when moving in. The storage rooms are located in the basement, accessible via the back entrance of the building or the stairwell for sections 2, 4, and 6.

All our single rooms and bachelor apartments at Studentheimen come furnished with a wardrobe, desk, and chair. Otherwise, you're free to furnish them as you wish. The rooms are not furnished with a bed unless other arrangements are made.

The mini kitchen is equipped with a stove with a cooktop (not induction), a combination fridge/freezer, and a sink.

All apartments are completely unfurnished except for kitchen appliances.

General/residual waste, organic waste (food waste), plastic, and cardboard/paper can be disposed of in the recycling room at the back of the building. Containers for glass and metal packaging can be found in the 'Grushola' bend on the uphill side of the building. Electronic waste, batteries, etc., can be returned to any place that sells similar items.

In the basement of Studentheimen, you'll find the 'Gjenbruksbui' (Reuse room) where residents can leave things they no longer need or take something that others have left behind. Good for both your wallet and the environment.

Bicycle

Bike parking is indoors under a roof, inside the recycling room at the back of the building.

Remember to label your bike with a bike sticker. You can get the sticker for free from our administration on campus.

Car parking

At Studentheimen, we have designated parking spaces for our residents. If you need long-term parking, it's possible to purchase a parking permit that is valid for the academic year (August-July).

If you only require short-term parking (up to 10 days), a free guest permit is sufficient. Both can be arranged through our administration on campus.

Electric Vehicle Charging

At Studentheimen, we have 3 charging points located at the end of the building facing the kindergarten. These can be accessed via an app using a QR code or, for our tenants, through a personally registered account for a slightly reduced price. To be allocated an account, you can submit a request to our janitor through "My Page" on bo.sammen.no, and they'll arrange it for you.

All our accommodations have a fixed monthly price for electricity, which includes your calculated personal usage, your share of the electricity consumption for common areas, hot water, etc. Prices may be adjusted based on consumption/market prices, but any changes will always be notified well in advance.

Electricity is billed along with the rent at the beginning of each month.

As a tenant, you have free access to wireless internet via Eduroam. This will be the same login details assigned to you by HVL for use on campus. If you already have an Eduroam account, you will be able to access the network with that.

Having trouble logging in? Issues with login, username, or password for Eduroam must be directed to HVL's IT department.

Haven't received your HVL login yet? In the meantime, you can use our guest network. It's called SAMAN-gjest.

Connecting to wired internet or devices like AppleTV, Playstation, etc.? To get certain devices online, we need to pre-authorize the device's MAC address. Devices that require authorization or access to the wired network must be used via the network called SAMAN-MAC. Submit the MAC address and device type to hjelp@sognenett-it.no for approval.

You'll find the laundry room in the basement, accessible through the basement entrance at the back or via the stairwell belonging to sections 2, 4, and 6.
