Live socially and affordably at Elvatunet, in our own little housing community for students.
Elvatunet also features our most historic buildings, originally constructed for the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer before being relocated to Sogndal. Here, you'll discover a vibrant student community, given its proximity to the campus and our other residences in Elvatunet 1 and Møllevegen as the nearest neighbors. This is also where we have our family accommodations, providing an opportunity for student parents to connect with each other.

Mailboxes
You find your mail box marked with your room number in the facility building by the Elvatunet parking lot.
Storage
All our tenants at Elvatunet have access to their individual storage space within each shared residence.
Garbage and recycling
You can dispose of residual waste, organic waste (food waste), plastic, and cardboard/paper in the bins near the laundry facility building. There, you'll also find containers for glass and metal packaging. Electrical waste, batteries, etc., can be disposed of at any location that sells similar items.
Swap-room
In the same building as the mail and laundry facilities, you'll also find the 'Gjenbruksbui' swap-room Here, residents can leave things they no longer need or take something that others have left behind. It's great for both your wallet and the environment.
Parking
Bikes
You can find the bicycle storage between houses 6 and 8.
Remember to label your bike with a bicycle sticker. You can get the sticker for free at our administration office on campus.
Car
At Elvatunet, we have designated parking spaces for our residents. We also provide facilities for charging electric cars. If you need long-term parking, you can purchase a parking permit valid for the academic year (Aug-Jul).
For short-term parking needs (up to 10 days), a complimentary guest permit is available. Both permits can be obtained at our administration office on campus.
Electric Car Charging
This is operated through an app via QR code or, for our tenants, through a registered user account for a slightly reduced fee. To obtain a user account, you can submit a request to the janitor via 'My Page' on bo.sammen.no, and they will assist you.
Electricity
All our accommodations have a fixed monthly fee for electricity, which includes your calculated individual usage, your share of the common area electricity consumption, hot water, etc. Prices may be adjusted based on consumption/market prices, but any changes will always be communicated well in advance.
Electricity charges are invoiced along with the rent at the beginning of each month.

WiFi
As a tenant, you have free access to wireless internet via Eduroam. This will be the same login details assigned to you by HVL for use on campus. If you already have an Eduroam account, you will be able to access the network with that.
Having trouble logging in?
Issues with login, username, or password for Eduroam must be directed to HVL's IT department.
Haven't received your HVL login yet?
In the meantime, you can use our guest network. It's called SAMAN-gjest.
Connecting to wired internet or devices like AppleTV, Playstation, etc.?
To get certain devices online, we need to pre-authorize the device's MAC address.
Devices that require authorization or access to the wired network must be used via the network called SAMAN-MAC.
Submit the MAC address and device type to hjelp@sognenett-it.no for approval.
Laudry facilities
You can find the laundry room in the building for shared facilies by the parking lot.
To use the laudry facility you will need the app 'Miele AppWash'
Furniture
All our single and shared roome come furnished with a wardrobe, desk, and chair. Beyond that, you're free to furnish the space to your liking.
The shared kitchen/living area is equipped with appliances, a dining table with chairs, and a lounge area with a coffee table.
The apartments are completely unfurnished, but the kitchen is equipped with a stove, and cobination fridge/freezer.
👉 The rooms are not furnished with a bed unless other arrangements are made. If you are applying through HVL exchange, a bed is already arranged for you.
