Climbing and bouldering are included in the membership, and our courses are open to all. Children up to 14 years old of members can climb for free with their parents at both Fantoft and Lehmkuhl. Parents must have a lead card.
Climbing Rules
All climbing is at your own risk.
Climbing card/lead card is required. Individuals without a lead card has to rent an instructor or be accompanied by a person with a lead card. (Liability form must be filled out each time). One must be 18 years old to be responsible for individuals without a Lead Card.
Persons under 18 years of age must have written permission from parents; children under 16 years old must be accompanied by individuals over 18 years of age.
All climbing must be done with UIAA-approved equipment.
The rope must be clipped into all necessary securing bolts.
All top-rope climbing must be done with the rope attached to the top-rope attachment and, where necessary, clipped into securing points to avoid pendulum falls.
Bouldering (climbing without a rope) with the head over the first securing bolt and on routes that are occupied is not allowed.
All personal injuries must be reported to the reception, which keeps and maintains a separate log.
The staff has the right to eject or deny access to individuals unfit to use the climbing facility.
Everyone who climbs must display the lead card on the harness prominently due to safety control.
Courses or other commercial activity which is not explicitly approved by Sammen is not allowed in our facilities.
Lead Card Test
If you have the necessary climbing skills but don’t have a climbing card, you can sign up for a test where you get your card if you pass. If you have no prior climbing experience, you can take one of our popular courses.

The main wall is 12 metres high and has up to 40 different routes at all levels

Introductory Climbing Course
Our experienced instructors give you a thorough introduction to climbing and belaying on both top rope and lead. No prior knowledge is required to participate. Passing the course gives you a climbing card.

Youth and Children’s Climbing Groups
We have climbing groups for children and youth aged 12 to 16 who want to start climbing at Fantoft and/or Lehmkuhl. The focus of training is climbing enjoyment and safety.
