Financing Options for Student Organizations

🏢 Company Presentations and Collaboration
Company Presentations
Company presentations are an arrangement where student organizations charge fees to facilitate businesses presenting themselves to students. We have created a template on how a student organization can approach businesses with a request for company presentations.
Collaboration Agreement
Through collaboration agreements, it's possible to secure a fixed or conditional sponsorship amount that supports the student organization. Contact local businesses, organizations, or others and inquire if they are interested in supporting you.
Support from the Educational Institution
Subject associations, academic committees, student associations, and regular student organizations can request support from the educational institution. Get in touch with the department, faculty, academic leadership, or others at the educational institution to request support.
🎫 Selling tickets and membership fee
Selling tickets for an event or charging for memberships can be useful to finance a student organization

Membership Fee
A membership fee is simply a payment to obtain membership in an organization. In idealistic and voluntary student organizations, the cost is often very low. Some have a one-time payment, while others require payment of membership fees periodically (semesterly/annually). When establishing a membership fee, it's important to include this in the organization's bylaws at a general assembly. Refer to paragraph 4 in our bylaw template for an example of how such a paragraph could look.
