As a student, finances can be a challenge, which is why Sammen has established a dedicated health fund where students facing high health expenses can apply for financial support
We have selected the most common health expenses that currently lack support systems.

Rules and Guidelines for Support
Remember that expenses cannot be older than 6 months, the treatment must be conducted in Norway, and you must document that you have paid the semester fee for the semester in which you incurred the expenses.
Psychologist
Support is provided for psychological treatment falling under Helfo's deductible cap. This includes treatment by psychologist specialists with agreements with health institutions or DPS. Expenses must be documented with a printout from Helfo. The amount is covered from the first krone up to the deductible cap.
Psychiatric outpatient clinic / District Psychiatric Centers (DPS)
Support is provided for psychiatric outpatient clinic / DPS treatment falling under Helfo's deductible cap. Expenses must be documented with a printout from Helfo. The amount is covered from the first krone up to the deductible cap.
Psychotherapy with a psychiatrist
Support is provided for psychotherapy with a psychiatrist with an agreement with the public and falling under HELFO's deductible cap. Expenses must be documented with a printout from Helfo. The amount is covered from the first krone up to the deductible cap.
Psychomotor physiotherapy
Support is provided for psychomotor treatment by a physiotherapist with an agreement with the public and falling under Helfo's deductible cap. Expenses must be documented with a printout from Helfo. The amount is covered from the first krone up to the deductible cap.
Dental injuries
Support is provided for the repair of teeth damaged in accidents and falls. Dental repair must be accompanied by supplementary documentation of the injury from a doctor or dentist. The support is 25% of the expenses after any other coverage from public sources or insurance has been deducted. There is a cap on approved expenses of kr 40 000, so the maximum support amount is kr 10 000.
Transport
Support is provided for transportation between the place of study and home if injury or illness makes it impossible to use public transportation. The support is for one round-trip journey per day. Weekend travels are not eligible for support. Support is provided for a maximum period of four weeks. A deductible of 50% is calculated from approved expenses. The need for transport must be documented by a doctor.
